Hammer Teaching & Learning Center
The 39,000 SF project included the complete renovation of the lower two levels of the Hammer Health Sciences Center from library stack space into classroom and educational facilities. These facilities helped the Columbia University Medical Center (CUMC) centralize education functions and provide state of the art classroom and student space.
In addition, the project also included the complete renovation of the building lobby while portions of the library stacks were relocated to an off-site repository. Library administrative and rare books functions as well as reference materials remained.
The project was delivered four months ahead of schedule and within budget; while meeting the quality expectations of the University.
