This project is being coordinated over several phases to minimize disruption to patient treatment. Phase 1 was an emergency replacement of the mapping CT along with a cosmetic renovation as the CT. Phase 2 provides a 2,000 square foot, single-story CyberKnife vault building addition along with an exam room, equipment room, and a sub-waiting area. As this addition occupies the parking lot, a variance with the Village of Mineola is necessary in order to allow a patient drop-off area and parking across the street in the hospital’s parking garage. Phase 3 replaces the existing, outdated Varian 21EX LINAC with a new state-of-the-art TrueBeam and require additional shielding and conduit distribution.
