Hudson River Park Trust, Morton Street Bulkhead Restoration Project

Serving as an extension of staff to Skanska, Group PMX provided owner’s representative services for the Hudson River Park Trust (HRPT) – Morton Street Bulkhead Restoration Project. HRPT sought to repair the 20-year-old bulkhead located along the Hudson River Park between Morton Street and Christopher Street, one of the first segments of the park to be completed. Over the decades, the bulkhead had deteriorated and needed replacement.

The project involved installing tie-backs and piles to stabilize its structure. Because the new bulkhead required substantial structural support, the adjacent upland park area had to be demolished and replaced as well. Group PMX performed pre-construction, bidding and award, start-up, construction, and post-construction services as required to complete the project.
