North Building Chiller Plant Upgrade

Group PMX teamed with Crothall Healthcare Services on a chiller plant upgrade project for the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai.  This $6 million project involves upgrading the entire facilities condenser water and chilled water system. The program for the building includes the replacement of two gas-fired absorption chillers, two primary chilled water pumps, two secondary chilled water pumps, two dual temperature water pumps, and two condenser water pumps as well as retrofitting the existing cooling towers to handle the increased capacity of the new chilled water system.

Group PMX, -as a sub-consultant to Crothall, reviewed and coordinated the logistics of the plans created by Genesys and Ahuja.

As part of the design and execution strategy for the project, design-assist was utilized. We assisted in expediting the manufacturing of the new chillers for installation during the winter season of 2018-2019. In addition to this strategy, the team conducted extensive scheduling and preliminary logistical strategies of the project execution, in order to avoid any major issues during construction.
