NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital’s Facilities Department relies on a number of well-developed software packages to support the Facilities Management functions. The NYP Facilities Department has been using Oracle Primavera Unifier as its project management system since October 2008. Unifier is integrated with the hospital’s financial system and with a departmental data mart which is used for advanced reporting and analysis.
Group PMX was hired to assist and train the internal team in the development of new functionality as Unifier rolled out upgraded capabilities. Our team was instrumental in improving the tracking of the Operating Bid Process, Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, and Invoices by creating:
- New Shell Structure for Operation Cost Centers
- New Shell Structure for Operation Cost Centers
- New business process for Bid Solicitation
- New business process for Operating Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders, following the same pattern that was used for the existing CapEx process
- New business process for Operating Change Orders (use of query-based tabs to show total PO Commitments)
- Adapting the existing Invoice Processing business process (use of query-based tabs to show total PO commitment vs. invoiced amounts)
