Project Management System Implementation

As part of a 10-year capital program, the University of Connecticut retained Group PMX to implement a web-based project management system to support its program needs.

The goal of the system is to increase the UCONN team’s ability to make informed decisions. The scope of this assignment has included the review and evaluation of all workflows, WBS, cost reporting, development of executive dashboards, scheduling, data integration, and processes streamlining to reduce entry of information and data integrity validation.

Our team worked in conjunction with the UCONN implementation team, which includes Gilbane Construction (program manager), and a variety of internal stakeholders to perform a comprehensive Gap Analysis between the existing systems and the proposed configuration, utilizing Oracle’s Primavera Unifier system capabilities. In addition, business processes and workflows were developed and integrated with the University’s financial systems to allow for the seamless flow of data between the two systems.

Group PMX’s ongoing role includes enhancement and a 10-year maintenance program and development and integration of Primavera P6 EPPM with Unifier.
