John David Layton

John David Layton, founder of Gramatan Capital Management LLC, a private equity investment firm, has been on the advisory board of Group PMX since 2017. Previously, he was Managing Director at Melkonian Capital Management, LLC (MCM), overseeing private equity and real estate portfolios. Prior to his role at MCM, Mr. Layton was principal of Green Circle Construction LLC, where he analyzed development opportunities, syndicated investments, oversaw the formation of capital, negotiated contracts, and oversaw the execution of various residential real estate development projects in Manhattan. With more than three decades of experience in construction and the allied trades, Mr. Layton has worked on diverse projects, progressing from superintendent to project executive, across commercial, institutional, healthcare, and residential sectors in New York, Maine, Texas, and the Caribbean.

Mr. Layton earned an MBA from Columbia University and a BA from Lehigh University. He is a certified Site Safety Manager, Construction Site Fire Safety Manager, and Site Safety Training Supervisor by the NYC Department of Buildings Site Safety Manager.
