Decisive Logistics Ensured No Disruptions
Through adept problem-solving and strategic project management, Group PMX enabled the seamless realization of Westchester Medical Center Health Network’s (WMCHealth) Ambulatory Care Pavilion–its flagship facility in Valhalla, New York.

The final design was completed two years before the start of construction with minimal oversight and approvals from end users. Joining the project midstream, we maintained the original 2014 budget, devising a comprehensive site logistics and phasing plan to address the absence of prior planning, ensuring smooth construction without disrupting operations.

Transforming A Unique Site
Our experienced management allowed us to initiate construction promptly with early bid packages, avoiding cost escalations. The new building’s strategic placement presented access blockage issues, particularly the existing loading dock and gas tanks. To mitigate these issues, we orchestrated the relocation of the oxygen tank farm, nitrogen fill station, and crucial utilities such as water, steam, electrical services, and more. We also upgraded fire protection systems, integrated advanced medical equipment, and expanded the telemetry system.

This collaborative effort led to the successful completion of the Ambulatory Care Pavilion, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including operating rooms, PACU bays, imaging equipment, and specialized clinical programs, bolstering WMCHealth’s healthcare infrastructure while overcoming intricate logistical hurdles.
