Marshall Retail Group Newark Airport Terminal 1 Retail Program

Overseeing Quality Assurance and Quality Control 
Swinerton Construction and Group PMX joined forces in a dynamic collaboration to overcome multifaceted challenges and deliver a retail program for the Marshall Retail Group (MRG) at Newark Liberty International Airport’s (EWR) new Terminal 1. Group PMX’s construction management services, including a meticulous focus on quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC), drove the successful installation of eight innovative retail spaces and six essential back-of-house support areas.

With retail units ranging in size from 550 to 3527 SF., totaling 10,000 SF., the project involved an intricate blend of proprietary concepts and international retail brand partnerships. 

Construction Oversight
Our team’s expertise shined as we conducted senior project management and comprehensive superintendent oversight, ensuring seamless coordination of daily on-site activities. We effectively managed a construction budget of $9 million while working to foster collaboration between MRG, Munich Group, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the design team, and subcontractors.
