LaGuardia Airport Terminals C and D Renovations

Delta’s overarching plan is to expand and consolidate operations at LaGuardia Airport, following their slot swap agreement with US Airways. They executed this strategy by improving the facilities at both Terminals C and D, in anticipation of expected passenger growth from this new arrangement.

The core components of this program included reconfiguring the airfield to accommodate the Delta fleet along with replacing jet bridges. Other updates included the installation of new in-line baggage screening systems, expansion of the security check points, updating the public areas throughout both Terminals, and the construction of a sterile connector joining Terminals C and D.  In addition, the Terminal C Sky Club is being renovated, and the Terminal D Sky Club is being redesigned.

Group PMX’s team was instrumental in many key areas, including the development of a program budget comprising approximately 28 individual projects, processing of $17 million in TSA reimbursement invoices, and the review and negotiation of $13 million in change orders netting a 12 percent savings for the client.
