Expanding Patient Care
White Plains Hospital, an integral component of the Montefiore Health System, is dedicated to enhancing patient care. WPH established an off-site ambulatory center featuring four advanced operating rooms to address the rising demand for outpatient surgery. The 11,500 SF, two-story facility, previously utilized by another provider, now serves the fields of orthopedics, sports medicine, otolaryngology, and plastic surgery.
The project required a complete gut renovation to meet current codes, guidelines, and WPH standards. The scope included HVAC, plumbing, and fire safety upgrades, fixing an underground sewer system, and installing a modern loading dock.
Group PMX provided project management services from concept through construction. These services included document review, budgeting, design reviews, contractor selection support, daily construction oversight, and collaborating with energy consultants for upgrades and incentives.
Ensuring Project Success Amidst Pandemic Challenges
Group PMX’s forward-thinking measures and strong industry partnerships were pivotal in maintaining uninterrupted work operations amid the COVID-19 pandemic. To overcome the workforce and delivery challenges brought about by COVID-19, Group PMX harnessed cutting-edge technology to capture a comprehensive 360-degree view of the project site, providing a clear and detailed understanding of the conditions on the ground. This approach facilitated accurate updates and enabled the creation of drone photos that provided valuable project updates and supported marketing materials.
Group PMX maintained effective communication in a remote work environment by implementing live video feeds. These feeds allowed clients and remote teams to virtually explore the site, review potential conflicts, and assess field conditions in real time. This level of transparency and interactivity ensured that decision-making processes remained efficient and informed despite the physical limitations imposed by the pandemic.
