Mixed-use Development with Retail Component
Group PMX undertook the responsibility of reassessing and creating a comprehensive foundational project timeline for the retail building within the colossal $25 billion, 28-acre real estate development known as Hudson Yards.
This transformative mixed-use development is situated on a platform above active rail yards on Manhattan’s West Side. The retail building, a sprawling structure, encompasses retail and dining space spread across seven floors, featuring over 100 shops and restaurants. Additionally, it features a cutting-edge cogeneration facility atop its roof, serving as the primary source of electricity for the entire complex.
Our efforts were strategically segmented into three distinct components: the core and shell, the cogeneration project, and the interior build-out of the building. For the core and shell aspects, Group PMX crafted an integrated master schedule that accommodated the unique requirements of three separate project teams.
Schedule Creation for Orchestrating Countless Activities
We meticulously coordinated schedules with on-site superintendents, upheld a meticulous project timeline encompassing a staggering 5,000 activities using Primavera P6, conducted comprehensive schedule reviews with the project manager and esteemed consultants, and meticulously analyzed the project schedule to identify critical activities and variances.
