Expanding Terminal 4
Delta Air Lines and JFK International Air Terminal, LLC (JFKIAT), the developer and operator of Terminal 4, are developing a larger, state-of-the-art terminal to enhance the airport experience for travelers flying into and out of New York.
Terminal 4’s expansion and renovation are core components of the project. This includes modernizing arrivals and departure halls, introducing 10 new gates through a substantial concourse expansion, revitalizing existing concourses, and adding another domestic baggage claim carousel. Roadway upgrades will also be implemented to improve vehicle access.
Phased Construction
Notably, the project will be executed in phases to minimize operational disruptions while adding amenities, including digital signage, restroom modernizations, ongoing technological upgrades, and adapting regional jet gate areas for larger mainline aircraft, which will collectively amplify the customer experience.
Through this joint effort, Delta Air Lines and JFKIAT envision a rejuvenated Terminal 4 that accommodates Delta’s operations and reflects a commitment to seamless, modern air travel for all passengers arriving at or departing from New York.
Group PMX is directly under contract with Delta Air Lines, providing project management, construction management, superintendent, and contract administration services.
