Vibrant Hub Designed to Attract
Water Street Tampa is an innovative urban community that reimagines city living. It’s all about fostering deeper connections among people, the urban landscape, and nature. This vibrant hub prioritizes well-being and encourages an outdoor lifestyle, placing an active pedestrian experience at its core. Its design features walkable streets that seamlessly link residences, offices, shops, and hotels, all within easy reach of the picturesque waterfront.

This groundbreaking project encompasses a massive 2 million SF of new office space, marking downtown Tampa’s first new office towers in a quarter-century. Additionally, there are 1 million SF of fresh retail, cultural, educational, and entertainment spaces at street level. Not to be overlooked, a substantial 12.9 acres of parks and inviting public spaces will be created or revitalized.

One of the project’s most exciting aspects is the substantial increase in housing options for downtown Tampa, with around 3,500 new rental and for-sale residences set to nearly double the current inventory. Water Street Tampa will also welcome two new hotels offering more than 650 rooms, including the city’s inaugural five-star hotel. Furthermore, a $40 million renovation is planned for the existing Marriott Waterside Hotel, enhancing its offerings.

Ties to Local Academia
Education plays a role in this dynamic community, too. The University of South Florida (USF) has already relocated the Morsani College of Medicine and Heart Institute to the area, with the Taneja College of Phrmacy set to follow suit in 2023. This partnership brings a wealth of knowledge and innovation to the Water Street Tampa community.

Detailed Scheduling Expertise
Coordinating such a monumental multi-phase project requires skill and precision. At the start of the project, Group PMX expertly managed scheduling, aligning the efforts of numerous major contractors, subcontractors, fabricators, procurement processes, integration and commissioning of project systems, and the grand public openings.
